Kirk E. Farnsworth, Ph.D., has had extensive, multidiscipline career experience as a naval officer (stationed in Japan), corporate executive (CRISTA Ministries), college professor (University of New Hampshire, Trinity College, and Wheaton College), and counseling psychologist and co-pastor of a disciple-making church with Rosie, his wife of nearly 50 years. He is an award-winning author of six books, two of which are complementary volumes to this book, about wounded churches: Wounded Workers (translated into Chinese), about wounded workers in the workplace and the church and All Churches Great and Small (translated into Russian), about healthy churches.

Dr. Kirk and Rev. Rosie are retired and reside on agriforestry acreage near Seattle, Washington.
