Step 1. Complete and return the Book Publishing Proposal Form along with a diskette or CD containing your complete manuscript as a single Microsoft Word document.

 

Step 2. We review your manuscript, and if accepted, send you a co-publishing proposal.

 

Step 3.  If you approve the proposal, we send you two copies of a Co-Publishing Agreement to sign.

 

Step 4. You return both copies of the signed agreement, along with your first payment, as outlined in the agreement. (All payments should be made payable to Strang Communications Company.)

 

Step 5. Once we receive the two signed agreements and first payment, a Strang official signs the agreements, one signed copy is sent back to you, and production begins immediately.

 

Step 6.  Design of the front book cover is begun, working with you until a composition is approved.

 

Step 7. The manuscript undergoes substantive editing and copyediting.

 

Step 8. The edited manuscript is sent to you for your approval.

 

Step 9.  You return the manuscript with your changes or approval within the time specified.

 

Step 10. Copy is written for the back book cover, working with you until the entire cover is finalized.

 

Step 11. Your second payment is made.

 

Step 12. The manuscript is typeset.

 

Step 13. When the typesetting is complete, proofs of the text galleys and a proof of the entire cover are sent to you for your final changes and approval signatures.

 

Step 14. You return the signed text and cover proof with final changes.

 

Step 15. We make final adjustments to the text and cover.

 

Step 16. Our marketing team begins the process of preparing advance promotions for presenting your book to the book trade.

 

Step 17. Your final payment is made, and shipping instructions are finalized.

 

Step 18. The book is sent to the printer, and the printer prepares a mock-up for our approval.

 

Step 19. Our staff approves the printer’s mock-up, and the book is printed.
